When cutting thin sheet materials like galvo for ducting. while you can cut with height control enabled, it’s better to run with an air-driven plate rider system. The CR PLASMA plate rider is our own design system. Fully machined out of alloy and all designed to maintain heavy-duty accurate control of the torch position.

Our plate rider system has a very rigid aluminum design. All parts are precision machined. The drop-down pressure is provided by an ISO30 air cylinder Given each time the machine must pierce, the air ram must push the system down to the sheet, the machine Z-axis must overcome a lot of cycles over the lifetime of the machine. Our plate rider is built to last.
