Water Mist Technology

“Water Mist Technology is the Future”

The system described here uses one torch for high-definition mild steel cutting and water mist stainless steel cutting. Gas mixing is used for the mild steel process. CR PLASMA states that the operator can change consumables and prepare the system for stainless steel in less than 5 minutes.

The examples on this page show the stainless steel edge finish recorded by CR PLASMA with this process.

Thermal Dynamics Water Mist System (WMS)

The Water Mist System provides a plasma-cutting option for stainless steel.

CR PLASMA found that its conventional air and high-definition plasma processes did not produce the required stainless steel edge quality for this application.

On compatible Thermal Dynamics UltraCut systems, the water mist and nitrogen process provides an alternative method for cutting stainless steel.

high-definition Mild Steel Cutting Fully Integrated

A consumable change converts the water mist setup to high-definition mild steel cutting.

CR PLASMA states that the system can be changed to high-definition mild steel cutting in less than 5 minutes. Gas-control modules set the process gases for the mild steel cut. The photographs and videos provide the recorded comparison with the standard air-plasma finish.
